3 straight perfect OOC seasons.

Kansas has definitely benefitted from playing in a weak conference year in and year out.

With that said, the ACC isn't going to be down forever. Wake and Georrgia Tech are historically solid programs. NCSU and Umd will likely improve under their new coaches. UVa is ranked in one poll. Duke and UNC are who they are. The last time we beat Pittsburgh at home our last National Championship was one that baker awarded us retroactiuvely. I wouldn't count on us suddenly rattling off huge win streaks because we change conference.

You think the Big12 is weak "year in and year out"?

Right but just based on sheer volume of tough home games there is a better chance of going undefeated in the ACC or any other conference vs the Big East.

Right now Syracuse has 7 conference home games againt teams that have won at least 10 or their first 12 games. The Big East is like this every year it seems and we're probably going to lose at least one of them.

Duke have 2 conference home games vs teams (UNC and UVA) that fit that same criteria. If Duke played UNC 3 times at home and UVA 4 times at home this year they probably won't win 7 of 7.

When Cuse and Pitt go to the ACC it will balance the ledger a bit and either A) make us going undeafeted at home easier and B) make it more difficult for Duke to have go undeafeted at home if all parties are undefeated OOC at home.

The B12 isn't as deep as the BE, but I wouldn't say it's weak year in and year out.

The one thing Kansas had going for it was the scheduling; I believe they played the B12 North twice each year, and the south only once. The South is usually stronger (at least if you take Kansas out of the mix).

Pomeroy has the B12 as the third best conference last year, the second best in 2010, 4th in 2009, 1st in 2008, etc.

Texas, A&M, Missouri, Baylor, Kansas State; these are all solid programs over the last 5 or so years. Oklahoma had a very strong run that ended when Griffin left. Oklahoma State was good in the middle of the decade as well. (You'll notice most of those strong programs are in the B12 south though. Exceptions being Mizzou and K-STate.

If that is a weak conference, how many strong ones are there?

I stand corrected; I forgot how bad the ACC , SEC, and PAC 12 have been.
