1- The game turned when we opened up the play calling and started throwing the ball on first and second down. I believe the reason we were so unsuccessful on third down is because we were only throwing on third down. We were entirely too predictable early in the game, other then the first 2 series we didn't move the ball until we started to throw the ball on first and second down. It lead to two long TD's. I liked how we started the game trying to get Dungey in a rhythm but then we went run run pass and Wake knew what was coming. Dungey is the guy, got to live with the good and the bad. Give him a chance to sling the rock, it was successful. The kid played a heck of a game once they allowed him to actually play.

2-The Defense, mostly the issue is with the backfield of course. They gave up that long TD early in the game and after that we played 12 yards off the WR the rest of the game and Wake was killing us with their 8 yard hitches and out patterns. They were killing us with the short throws to the sidelines and some of the angles our DB's took to the ball left me scratching my head. Pressure was good and run defense played extremely well but when its 3rd and 5 you can't play 12 yards off the DB and not expect them to gain those 5 yards. We were doing the same thing when it was 2nd and 14 we gave them 10 yard receptions to make it a manageable 3rd down. Wake was able to pick us apart for most of the game and that scares me, especially with better opponents left on our schedule. DB's need to improve.

3- I like being the aggressive football team. I would much rather lose being aggressive then laying down. With that said I ABSOLUTELY HATED THE 4TH AND 1 POOCH PUNT BY DUNGEY!!!!! Defense was playing well, we were moving the ball well the last 2 series, crowd was into it, on the 40 yard line RUN THE DAMN BALL!!!! END THE GAME THERE!!!! With that said, I LOVED LOVED LOVED the ensuing first down playaction throw on the wheel route. That is the way I love to play, aggressive. Wake was not ready for that and it went for a huge gain. Loved Dungey going for that last rushing TD, he was absolutely in and it should have been ruled a TD. He wanted it!!!!!

This was a head scratcher for me too and our coaches finally tightened up the coverage a bit in the 4th quarter. We were stuffing the run and our pass rush was getting great pressure. Couple that with our DB's poor tackling it was an adjustment that should have come sooner. Besides that I thought our coaches had a hell of a game.
