I guess the downside to playing the guys eligible for a redshirt is that you put guys on film for opponents to scout.

A new wrinkle this season is the ability to play 4 games and keep your redshirt. With only 3 regular season games and the bowl game remaining, who might be a "secret weapon" that will play the rest of the season and still keep their redshirt?

For example, could Gabe Horan (played 1) show up as a red-zone target against ND, BC and the bowl?

I'd like to see Chance Aimee on the field, even for kickoff coverage etc... (assuming we have a lead)

He is an injury away from likely being our starting QB next season, I'd like to get him some game action.

He's been hurt for the last month, so hard to say.

We may see guys get snaps here and there and probably in the bowl game. But if there was a "secret weapon" at most positions, they'd probably have already played enough to burn their shirt.

I hadn't heard Horan was hurt.

I get that if they had someone that was ready to contribute he would have played by now, BUT I was thinking maybe there was someone that wasn't ready earlier in the season so they planned to redshirt but is ready now.

OR, maybe someone can fit a specific formation that wouldn't have used up a redshirt for a few plays, but now can come in just for that specific play or set of plays. Like a wildcat for Amie or goaline for Horan.

Any thoughts?

I'm hoping to go up by 28 in the 1st half vs. Louisville and see DeVito play the entire 2nd half

Devito sucks in garbage time lol he only plays well in very close games vs legit ACC competition. Don't think it would be fair to do that to him.

Eric missed a lot of throws vs Wake early and we had to really simplify the game plan. I think we might need both guys. I also think the emotion of senior day might lead to a sluggish start. I'd give Tommy a series 1Q. I also don't know if Eric has 5 games left of football and taking a beating each drive we honestly might want the guy who won FSU and UNC for us to play a little. Its not like competition didn't make Eric snap out of his funk and play a lot better.

Amie in garbage time would be fabulous. Get next years backup plan ready. Seeing all 3 tonight would be amazing.

I am worried about D Line next year more than any other position. So I'd like to give all the D linemen who are redshirting some run.

And of course any RS who has impressed in practice should see time if this gets out of hand in our favor.
