4 of the top 8 NFL QB Prospects AND The Heisman Winner

For those people who're still down on our defense and its future, please remember that, in 2016, 'Cuse faced FOUR of the top EIGHT Quarterback prospects in the 2017 draft.

Watson (Clemson) and Kizer (ND) are almost universally rated as top-3 QBs who'll get drafted in Round 1 while Peterman (Pitt) and Evans (VT) are both rated between #5 and #8 on most sites with Day 2 draft grades.

Then don't forget that in 2017, 'Cuse ALSO played Louisville with Heisman winner, Lamar Jackson AND Florida State with QB stud, Francois who just may compete with Lamar for the Heisman in 2017 - With both possibly being NFL first rounders in 2018.

That's A LOT of QB talent to compete against in year one of a new scheme AND with a depleted roster that required lots of frosh and sophs play before they were "ready."

Looking back, it was like the perfect storm of defensive nightmares.

Taking all that into account, I can't help but believe things will get better.

Just looked it up, Flowers had over 20 passing TD's with a 2:1 td:int paired with 1500+ yards rushing and like 18 running TD's.


Thats gross.
