blocks were against Herb "altar boy" Pope. That's enough to give him nightmares, especially the block of his attempted dunk to close the half.

Today (Friday) was my first chance to watch the game on espn3. That end of half block was awesome! He's becoming the human fly swatter. Hope he doesn't get too crazy and start fouling as he does it.

Yep, that made me tell out loud... It is great to see Fab having this kind of success against strong competition. Pope is one of the better big men in the big east and Fab pretty much had his way with him.

Who can ever forget Marvin Webster - The Human Eraser?

When you have a legit center that can do what Fab is doing right now, it allows you as a team to expand every level of your defense. Everything can move outward and create living hell for the opponents. Rosie was similar, but dang, it just makes everyone better and allows you make the opposing offense feel like they are facing a wall and forces you to hit every shot. The progession of Fab has been insane this year.

I played ball with Marvin once at the YMCA in White Plains, NY. My big claim to fame is that on a fast break I caused him to lay it in versus dunk. Too bad he wasn't even jumping lol.

And this is why we are #1, headed to at worst three regular season losses, and a favorite to win it all. To fully understand how much Fab has improved you need to watch him over the course of an entire game... watch tape of him last year vs. this year, forget the 30 lbs lost, just watch the defensive presence he is in the middle of that zone...

That was my concern also. Great defensive efforts we see at home , because foul-filled episodes on the road.
