8/14/15 Practice # 6 and # 7

Know both injuries are being downplayed, but having Thompson and Raymon sidelined in camp is really bad. No other DL has played before.

In brighter news, Shafer said Kenterius Womack has looked good at WR. Also spoke of Parris Bennett as the likely starter at Sam.

how does whigham go 3 years and not gain a pound and then gain 15 in his last year?
Reading between the lines from the article, maybe he simply didn't work hard enough. Also, remember that he had a serious esophagus issue is HS that prevented him from taking in enough food.

If Womack sees significant snaps at WR this year, I'd be absolutely shocked. We have plenty of other guys who have been in the program that are lined up for snaps. Not sure really why this is getting as much pub as it is. Unless he's an absolute freak, can't see him playing a big role.

Color me not too concerned. Both guys have till Sept 26th to heal for LSU, but could potentially be until Pitt on the 24th until we really really need them for the last 6.

After last year, the staff are very aware of the injury bug and are going to hold the starters out and not take any chances with minor nicks. SS: "Last year we had 17 of our 22 guys out for more than 4 games". As we have not had full contact yet, I would assume that the injury is a pull which they will give time to heal. Think shades of Pugh in 2012 and we all know how that turned out. ;)

I lean towards stud athlete. Ishmael's contribution last year wasn't shocking. If Kenterious is a Kevin Johnson type athlete, who can catch, I wouldnt be shocked that he sees the field and contributes.

raymon and thompson injuries were the biggest concern with the dline. no depth, no experience. and raymon has been hurt his entire career. the loss of sloan, coleman and wayne williams loom large.
