Surprised that Shanley got the nod at OG and that Morgan isn't a starting DB. Other than that, nothing jumped out at me.

Shafer: Seamus Shanley earned the starting right guard spot. His consistency and lack of missed assignments pushed him ahead of A. Roberts.
Shafer said he's happy with the progression of his three veteran safeties.
Shafer talks down Winfield starting over Morgan. Reiterates he has five guys who can play.
Shafer expressed confidence in Kendall Moore at tight end. Praised his intelligence and expects him to contribute right away.
Syracuse has posters of the ACC and national championship trophies hanging up in the auditorium.
