Interesting (perhaps just to me): Hunt is bigger (general size) than Franklin.

Hunt: "I got to see the game from a different angle, from what the coaches were seeing at the same time."

Hunt: "Helped me to become more of a leader... being there emotionally and helping the guys out mentally helped me out."

Hunt: "We got mismatches all over, we create mismatches all over with motions..."

Hunt: "Coach Lester knows exactly what our strengths and weakness are, so he's really going to focus on that."

Hunt: "Ishmael could be great this year... He works HARD."

Hunt: "Ishmael never says no, even after we finish 110's or whatever... his drive is everything."

Hunt: "Cornelius is huge, he's a leader, has stepped up in the room."

Hunt: "MacFarlane and Morris - Devante is a straight down the hill back, G-Mo likes going out wide."

Hunt: "Trudo has been moved, never complained, Ivan, Omari... they never complain, they're willing to do the job they're presented with."

Hunt: "Jamal (Custis)... he's 6'6", he's still young... I think he's going to be a huge asset... once he gets his confidence."

Hunt on Josh Parris: "I expect a huge amount from Josh, he gets under the defense's skin... hell also bring it... getting bigger."

Franklin admits to have accidentally walked through media day last year.

Franklin: "It still feels a little weird to be out here this soon."

Franklin: "I would love to earn a position of leadership through camp... I'm just trying to be the best version of me I can."

Franklin: "This year I know what's going on... I feel more comfortable."

Franklin: "One thing I stressed was getting stronger", acknowledges its was hard at end of season against power teams (Pitt, BC).

Franklin: "It was important for us to come in and learn how Coach Shafer wants us. We worked our butts off all offseason."

Franklin: "We're a tight unit, we all kinda came in together. Jonathan (Thomas) and Paris (Bennett) are my roommates."

Franklin: "Paris is freakishly athletic and very long... His blitz lines are almost perfect."

Franklin: "Thompson is the most important person on our defense, hands down. He's the guy who gets us going."

Franklin: "Chris Slayton... I don't know how people can lift that kind of weight."

Franklin: "Cordy was definitely putting in work."

Terrel Hunt said it's been "a struggle" personally seeing a friend like Broyld dismissed, but he thinks the on-field product will be OK.

Hunt on sophomore WR Steve Ishmael: "He could be great this year. His confidence has skyrocketed."

Hunt calls TE Josh Parris an excellent trash talker. Says he's got a better body and should be a weapon for the team this year.

Zaire Franklin's comfortability as a sophomore leader is very impressive. Hard not to like the kid just watching him speak.

Franklin: "Ron (Thompson)'s the most important player on our defense, hands down."

Franklin says OLB Parris Bennett's best strength is blitzing. Has a long frame and excellent timing attacking the backfield.
