8 players with at least 10 mins

Did I hear the announcer says boeheim expands the roster this time of year?

JB's substitutions the past three games have been excellent. He's once again showing his skills as a maestro, something that I thought earlier in the season had been lost. All of the pauses had an effect on figuring out the right distribution of minutes, combinations, matchups, etc.

Post season is when you should shorten your rotation.
8 is all you need during the tournament.

It’s the regular season you should be deeper because all players have bad games so having options in those situations are why depth matters. Plus players can play harder and not worry about fatigue.

Yeah, I did not understand that comment I heard.

He always does in confrence tournaments, just about everyone does. There is a difference between confrence tournaments and the NCAA tournament. When you are playing as many as 4 games in 4 days going deeper into the bench is just part of it.

Hmm

I'm not sure that's true. I mean, the game after the epic 6 OT classic we played... the same 7 guys.

2013 when we went to the BET finals we gave the same 6-7 guys meaningful minutes.

Those are just two random examples I looked at. I'm sure there are games where maybe JB gave 1 guy a few more minutes than usual, but I don't think it's a pattern.

I apologize for the snarkiness of my comment. I've done the same to others on this board and I apologize for that as well. I may be morphing into the prototypical "old man on the porch" but I am really tired of all the negativity in our counry now. This board used to be a respite and I logged on to celebrate a great win by a team that has really been interesting to wath overcome barriers and develop despite the barriers this year and I see comments bemoaning JB's stubborness, critiquing the rotations and minimizing the importance and quality of the win.
Personally I choose to be the optimist. To look at the way Kadary, Edwards and Braswell have developed this year undoubtedly due to their efforts in practice and celebrate the program. 16 - 8 with this roster and in this crazy year is a great accomplishment in my mind and I look forward to seeing this team continue to grow next year with the addition of our first true five star talent in years.

But first...

Yes, Virginia. There IS a Syracuse!
No problem man, I accept your apology
Believe me I have tons of respect for what boeheim has accomplished here but at the same time he's not beyond criticism.
I understand where ur coming from and I figured that I would get some blowback for my comment but I felt so compelled to do so. Yes he has done a good job this season. Especially of late but IMO if he would open up a Lil bit so to speak doing things he normally does not do like going a bit deeper in the bench IF the quality players r there, for example playing Edwards a bit more and he seems to be coming around there and probably playing Richmond and Girard at least equal mins. Cause Richmonds defensive ability, length at the top of the zone & his versatility is awesome.
So, while we have had a good season I think it could have been a Lil better so we wouldn't have to sweat it out selection Sunday

"When Jim Boeheim was asked if Edwards was capable of this kind of play in the beginning of the season, he grew frustrated. He responded sarcastically and clenched to his original assertion.

“He’s still not ready. He’s not ready but he hung in there and battled. They out-rebounded us 20 rebounds. He did some good things. But, you know, he’s got to get stronger. If he was ready early in the year he would’ve been playing early in the year,” Boeheim said."

THIS WAS MARCH 2 2021 after CAROLINA.
