The decision seems to apply to fall season sports only, not winter sports that begin play in the fall semester (ie. Basketball).
Because the league doesn’t compete in football and the decision doesn’t apply to basketball I’m not sure it’s directly impactful other than being another harbinger that a broader cancellation by other leagues impacting football might be on the horizon.
