It's exactly the same. I saw those sleeves being used at the Northwestern game. There's only the silly patch.

I think it looks more like we're honoring a recently deceased #44. That's typically what patches are used for.

It also looks like a shirt for a very thin woman with ginormous shoulders.

The patch is a start.

#44 DOES belong on our uniform, just not on every uniform.

I find this encouraging and perhaps an unprecedented unretiring may be in order in the future.

But i'll take it for now. It will get talked about and positive talk and 'Cuse football is a good thing

Her 'Demolition Man' video from the early 80s gave more more nightmares than Poltergeist, Halloween and Nightmare on Elm Street put together.

Whoa. This is genius. So everyone on the team is wearing 44 underneath their jersey. I hadn't seen this before. I hope they all understand the significance of what they are wearing. What a great motivational tool for a big game. Nice work on SU's part.

Syracuse will wear the #44 because the number is iconic. It honors a legacy. Nothing more, nothing less. I don't think any other college program has one number that carries such poignant significance.

While the significance is different, Texas A&M has a deep (and carried out) tradition and love for their #12. One of the coolest traditions around, without a doubt. It's also a somber # for them as it is the number of people (11 students and 1 former student) that died in the bonfire collapse prior to the UT game in 1999.
