A board favorite just got suspended

Still comes back to personal responsibility, be mad at yourself. They typically only tow your car if you have parked it illegally. They don't tow because your meter ran out and even if they did, still your fault for not feeding the meter.
But if you read the OP link, it indicates that this towing company was predatory. They troll the parking lots and jack people's cars for dubious reasons .. if you're at a location that has parking arrangements in a nearby lot and you return and find your car gone .. that's sketchy. I'm not excusing the tirade. But towing companies like this should be shut down.

1. Towing companies suck.
2. The clerk's comments were clearly edited out. If the clerk was giving as good as she was getting, and edited it and then released it, that's pretty low.
3. Being mean shouldn't be a fireable offense. It nothing to do with her ability to do her job well. I can see a suspension for bringing negative publicity to the company, but I'm sick of the public's "outrage" getting people fired.

Well, I wouldn't want to work with her. I don't know who would.

Allegedly she's kind of a Seeyounexttuesday, and I dpn't think she's that cute.

Don't think she should get fired though.

No excuse for her to come unhinged. However, towing companies that pray on people like that can't expect people to be warm and fuzzy. They jacked her car on the pretext that it was "illegally" parked .. seems like a scam.

She left her car in a restaurant parking lot on weekend night and went to a bar. Considering how she looked in the video, my best guess is that she got hammered and took an uber home. When she went to get her car the next day it was towed. Her fault really. All of these restaurants say that parking is for patrons only...

Embarrassing your employer is and should be a fireable offense.

1) So what. Don't park in someone else's parking lot and you won't get towed.

2) Who cares. She KNEW she was being taped and still acted like a spoiled little brat...Unreal.

3) She is a public figure! She should definitely know better and should of been fired.

Where did you get these facts from? In the Deadspin article, it says she was "eating dinner" at an Arlington restaurant and came back to find her car gone. It turns out, according to Deadspin, that the parking lot attendant was also an EMPLOYEE of the TOWING COMPANY. That doesn't just smell funny -- it seems like a classic scam. The attendant calls the towing company as soon as the restaraunt closes so they can jack the car.

If this is incorrect and she was at a bar and came back the next day -- entirely different story I agree.

Thank God it wasn't

I'd be fine with it. I know countless people that have flown off the handle at degenerates like there are at tow companies. Britt McHenry's problem is she did a terrible job getting her pound of flesh. There are much more effective ways to belittle someone if you're going to go that route.

What you are all missing is that she did not "lose it". Have you ever lost it? I know I have, and I am not muttering those insults like that. They are loud and clear, and you could hear them in the next room. You could tell she was saying things that she says to people every day. It was such a comfortable thing for her to be doing. Each and everyone of those insults flowed smoothly out of her mouth. I found little anger attached to it, more sarcasm and sort of a repulsive tone. Maybe because I am a female I recognize it. It was her usual bitchy, demeaning self. And this person was not the person who towed her car, or made the decision to tow her car. She really is just the unfortunate person sitting in that job. But boy, who was the smarter cookie in the end? Talk about payback.

It sounded like the clerk fired back at her. I don't think either of them come out better in the end.

I'm really not sure people here understand the parking scam that is Arlington. The lot attendant apparently is an employee of the towing company. Lots of towing companies are owned by former county employees who get those contracts.

When I got towed, I asked the police officer what I did wrong -and he said I was accusing him of being a liar. Towtruck driver punched me (in fairness I punched his truck when I asked him where he was taking my car and he said he wouldn't tell me - of course may face = side of crappy towtruck) Turns out I got towed straight from the towtruck cruising. Zippy sympathy for this lady - she chooses to get paid by these people.

Eh, I've certainly thought/said similar things. Difference being, it wasn't directed at someone while on camera, and likely just said in the warmth of my own car :)

Still, she is getting roasted on social media. Every thing ESPN posts on facebook, most of the comments are just trashing her. Very bad PR.

I'm with Bayside Towing companies and the type of employees they attract are the sleaziest of the sleazy. In a former position I had to audit the tow yard's operations and it was obvious that the were stealing cash but they covered it up with their crappy business practices. I would not doubt that the tape was manipulated so that the first part of the confrontation was deleted.

Parking and towing in Arlington and DC is a nightmare . I read a story about a woman who parked legally in dc only to find her car gone. No one had any record of her car being towed so she thought it was stolen. Days later it was found many blocks away where it had been moved by a towing company asked to clear the street for a function.

It is obvious to me she was provoked, and though she must take ownership of things she says, the tow company operator is clearly not owning her own comments, as evidenced by the editing of her own comments. if we were privy to the entire incident there would be some context.

Espn has been embarrassed before, it will be embarrassed again- because they hire humans. At least she's got a relatively low profile as compared to some of the other talent.

Everyone take a good look at who is on which side in this incident and then look at what things they support when it comes to SU basketball.
