The "First Round" begins with the field of 64 on Thursday. The games being played out in Dayton are not the First Round. Call them "play-in" games. Preliminary Games. Or Loser-Ville. I don't care. But when the ball goes in the air on Thursday at noon, that's when the first round begins.

Agreed. They should be called play-in games. It's weird to hear, "this weekend are the 2nd and 3rd round games." WTH

I totally agree. Bilas was making the same mistake yesterday and then shook his head and said "Oh yeah I forgot, 60 teams get a bye." It was pretty funny.
