Secondly, why annoint and announce Fredricks as the starting RB? By doing that, I think you run a greater risk that as a first time starter (who happens to be a freshman), that he might try to naturally press too much in the beginning. Why not just call his number on the first series and let him run before he has time to think and analyze about being the "starter"? Timing is everything for a runningback and I think you run the risk of him being off on his timing through blocks, cuts etc., because he is trying to press and do too much.
