A depressing stat

Jake DeGrom has won two straight Cy Young awards. In those years he has a won-lost record of 22-17. The Met's record as a team in his starts if 28-36. Twenty-Eight and Thirty Six! Ten other pitchers have won consecutive Cy Youngs and the next worst team record in their starts is the 44-25 Tim Lincecum's Giants had when he started. That's 13 1/2 games better than the Met's record with DeGrom.

Probably. It over-laps but the horrible years by Familia and Diaz were big factors, too last year. Those are the two big things we need: score runs for Jake and have the bullpen remember how to pitch.
