Dear Gentleman

This has been a trying season for Syracuse football fans. Honest fans looked at the depaqrting seniors and tougher schedule and saw a 6-6 on the horizon. The way we have gotten there has been hard to watch though.
I have a few suggestions that could really help the team next year and are plausible. First please hire a special teams coach. No other team in major college football handles special teams the way you do. This season is a good example of why. College is not the NFL, it is not ok to fair catch every punt. Rutgers and Virgina Tech were able to reestablish programs due in large part to great special teams. A blocked punt or field goal can really change a game.
The next thing you need to due is to ask the chancellor if you can borrow ahead on some of the ACC money and hire a good veteran offensive coordinator. Coach Marrone you need to be the teams overseer, you are in charge of everything and need to be all over the field. Please appreciate the fact that I trust you and feel the team would be better with you not to be the offensive coodinator, I know you have given that title to Hackett but he is in over his head and you have tried to make up for it.
Next please put coach Ansalemo back as the defensive back coach. This years and next years secondary is in need of a full time position coach. Coach Shafer has too much resposibility to be coaching a position group.
Dr Gross you have moved many of the teams top games to NYC and NJ in the next few years, this is your decision to make, but please reward the fans. Mainly please pay back the students that already pay you and the chancellor $50000 a year. Please have all games be free admission to students.
Lastly if you know your are going to have more than 1,000 seats unsold please start contacting local charities that work with children. There is no reason that 500 young children cannot be given free tickets to the games. It fills your stands and builds a good young fan base.
These are all reasonable suggestions that could take place in the offseason. None of my suggestions are things that would take years to accomplish. Indoor practice facilities cant be build in a year. Four and five stare recruits are not going to be here next season, but the things listed above can be done. Please do what you gentlemen were hired to do restore this program to respectability. Bowl games and top 30 finishes are not impossible goals.

Thank you
Syracuse football fan

Was the $50,000 referring to tuition or their salary? Because their salary would need another zero at the end.
The idea about the local kids is a great one and I think most sane people would agree on the special team's hire.

Left off zero sorry

Dear Coach,

I believe the recruiting is coming along, and there is a lot to be positive about in the future... but while it may be a sad thing, being competitive just isn't enough. People don't like to watch our games. Even as a die-hard who loves a balanced attack and some good smashmouth football, I don't like watching our games. Again, it's very sad to say, but I think a couple seasons of 6-6 with fireworks would appeal to a rebuilding fanbase more than 7-5 of whatever it is you call this.

Dear Coach - We need a punter and a KO specialist.

And a dual threat QB and some big and fast WRs who can make plays.

And some RBs who can make plays.

And some big interior lineman.

Thank you.
