It occurred to me last night that, with all the attention Gonzaga was getting, I recalled hearing about them many, many years ago and I am about to show just how old I am.
Bing Crosby, very popular star of radio, TV and movies (in the 60's and 70's) was a graduate of Gonzaga and frequently mentioned it on his shows. In fact, his father built a home on the Gonzaga campus.
I hope I'm not the only one on this board who remembers Bing and his very popular "Road to" movies with Bob Hope.

This is well known and reported to be the second leading reason recruits site for picking Gonzaga. The top reason is of course the hiking trails. 3rd is the Symphony and 4th is the economy.

White Christmas is a terrific movie.

I feel like this season was Gonzaga’s chance to win the NC. I’m doubtful it’s ever going to happen after last night.

They’ve been in the title game 2 of the last 5 years it’s been played. The sweet 16 6 out of the last 6 years.

A little more trivia. Guess which team is 1-11 in the NCAA Tournament against teams seeded one to three?

It’s Gonzaga. Sure some of these matchups were when they were low seeds but 6 of them were when they were seeded one through four. They lost all 6

You're a few decades off. Bing Crosby was the #1 box office attraction in the 40's.

Like as a priest in "The Bells of St. Mary's" opposite Ingrid Bergman as a nun (what a waste!).

And there's a statue of Crosby on the Gonzaga campus.
