Ken Pomeroy has revised his system and among the results is that Pitt is now ranked the best team of 2003. Congrats, Panther fans, but I don't think we'll offer a trade.

Really, though, the changes are minimal, but do impact one of the most frequently read complaints: Wisconsin.

Even though these changes are not designed specifically to make you feel better, maybe they will. For example, Wisconsin would have been the top team for just three days in the 2012 season as opposed to the four weeks they were rated first under the old system. By the end of the season, though, changes between the new and old rankings are largely minimal.
