A Question for the Board

Norley to Siano: We brought my nephew who was about three or four years old at the time. He slept on my lap the entire game. It was up down up down, trying to stand up to see, while trying not to drop the kid.

Ahhh, Todd Norley. A blast from the past. I remember the quarterback 'controversy' back then. Go ChristoNorley!

My recollection is that came after a goal line stand, not a punt.

It was. IIRC it was #41(?) Nate Hemsley that charged on the 4th and G at the 1 to meet Robert Walker at the handoff. It was also their opening drive of the second half and we were only up 3-0 so it was huge.

The next play score was play action waggle on first down. Marvin caught it in stride, he was also covered very well on it. Perfect throw.

This You-Tube clip is in a thread below:

The run by Joe Morris is from the first ever game at the Carrier Dome, 9/20/80. I was there. How many of you were there, as well? Argh, I guess this shows our age, but I'll belly up. I was there :)

How many of the events shown were you present for?

I was there for:
- The '87 West Virginia football game - YES
- Leo Rautins' tap in. - NO
- Norley to Siano - YES
- Rob Moore vs. Penn State - YES
- Morris' run vs. Miami Ohio - YES
- Moose scoring vs. West Virginia - YES
- Pearl's shot vs. BC. - NO
- McNabb to Harrison vs. West Virginia - YES
- Three technicals on John Thompson - NO
- McNabb to Brominski
- YES

Was at a couple Archibald games including the last. Went to Ithaca for last game in '79 against BC.
Best moments had to be entire Nebraska game. Even the atmosphere prior to kick-off was one of incredible optimism. We knew they weren't going to run us into the ground this time, and if the offense could just not loose the game... And that's exactly the way it played out (with a bomb TD miracle to boot). almost equal was the 2 point conversion. My favorite moment of the throw back game, was not the TD to Brominski, but DNABB running down a speedy VT dback after an interception. Man, what desire and heart!
Funny, I've been to many huge BBall games, but none mentioned here...
Anyways, bball is just an after thought to SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY FOOTBALL! - GO ORANGE!
