My good family friend and co-worker (I grew up across the street from them in Syracuse... then they randomly moved to my neighborhood in Atlanta about 6 months after we did) just concluded a week long mission trip to Nicaragua. He is a big Cuse fan as well.

He IM'd me as soon as he had internet access on the plane (he is literally still in the air)... and sent me this picture:

Said he was pretty overcome by the village and the poverty... but then saw this kid riding his bike in a CUSE jersey. That is simply amazing.

Could have only been topped if the kids brother was wearing a "kansas 2003 championship shirt"

That is awesome! I am wondering if this kid has any idea where Syracuse is on the map? Although, why should I expect him to know when sportscasters don't? (All those home games...)

Thats cool and all, but you'd be surprised on how much donated clothing goes to Central America. My cousin lived in Guatemala for 9 months last year and she said she'd see, regularly, kids in Buffalo Bills shirts, Air Jordans, etc. Cargo planes full of clothing.

Buffalo Bills Super Bowl Champs jerseys, probably.

Too soon?

I view this as obvious proof of an ACC conspiracy to help Syracuse at all costs. Swofford obviously either sent that jersey and a photographer to Nicaragua or had the photo doctored.
