Do most or at least some OCs design their own plays? I think that smart coaches look at some of today's games that feature outstanding teams and identify certain aspects of the game to improve their coaching. Only fools think they know it all IMO. Misdirection plays for the running game is just as useful there as it is in the passing game. Our offense rarely if ever uses the decoy aspect of route designs. Maybe if the TE were to be fully utilized this next season some of that can help in the downfield passing to gain big yardage.
