The Orange football program leads the BIG EAST with a school-record 28 student-athletes on the 2011 BIG EAST All-Academic Football Team. Team co-captain Kevyn Scott leads the way for Syracuse as a four-time honoree, while seven earned the recognition for the third time in their Syracuse career. A student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.0 grade point average and have completed at least 18 credit hours to be considered.

Kevin Wall (the SU Athletics Academic Coordinator) and his staff in the Stevenson Academic support unit also deserve praise for their efforts; as well as countless others in other departments make the student athlete support at Syracuse one of the best in the country.
