id say its a scare tactic too. but it certainly adds more inventory and puts more of an onus on winning your conf. plus, lets say college goes to a 13 game season, with 1 bye, instead of 2...and everyone still plays conf champ games on the 1st sat in dec, this can be done.

all this can be avoided simply by the SEC just getting it done with mizzou and letting realignment come to a close by the then bevo9 officially killing the bigeast.

Currently the ACC has 48 FB games to sell. Going to 14 teams and 10 games would get them to 70 games. If that is the case we better get a lot more than $15 million a year per team. No way 22 more games is worth only $2 million more per team.

if fox and fx, and nbc and versus, and cbs and what is it...tru tv, grab conf games from the pac, b1g and sec...then the espn/abc family of channels will need programming. and in this scenario, it likely will come from the big12 and ACC.

lets face it...fx, despite the Sons of Anarchy being awesome, doesnt need to run a marathon of it every saturday to get viewers when they can air live college football. ditto for versus showing ted nugent hunting and tru tv for reairing the casey anthony case, even with a nancy grace cut in nip slip.

15mill is not etched in stone. btw, for 63 games that seems light too.
