ACC (and ESPN) could be headed for nine-game schedule

I'm not Swofford, but if the real Maryland alumni cleaned house and get rid of the self serving entrepreneur who is destroying every tradition of a proud university , including employing an army of paid shills on the internet, thenI would say welcome home. They pulled the wool over the alumni's eyes and now the reality of what a disaster this is , and the destruction of The athletic department and loss of alumni support has them wondering -- cui bono.

Not saying the ACC will let them stay but what the hell happens when the court makes Maryland pay 50 Million to the ACC. Money that Maryland clearly doesnt have?

Just for argument sakes...what if Maryland decided to stay? OK, now the ACC has 15 teams but my question is, what does the Big 10 do? Keep Rutgers and go after Kansas or the like? Drop Rutgers? Or, worse yet, go strong after an ACC school like Virginia, Pitt, GT or NC? I don't think any of those schools would leave but if the Big 10 is painted into a corner, they may make a sweet deal for one of those schools to jump.

Maryland is gone. The B1G has already produced schedules with Maryland on them, and they informed the ACC they are leaving. This lawsuit is not going to keep them they are Fredo.

A fraud was perpetrated there for the benefit of a private company. Contracts negotiated and signed during the commission of a felony are null and void. A class action lawsuit by Maryland alumni needs to be brought forward against ... well you can figure that out.

As long as it can be argued that the Maryland President followed his fiduciary duties in looking out for University of Maryland their is no fraud. Their was no fraud committed in this case UMD needed money and used the B1G to fix its financial houses.

That's why a warrant would need to be acquired to see if there's a money trail , and where it leads. Believe me , as buyers remorse sets in, there is a huge blowback coming.

If ND goes all in then you have to go to a 16/18 model.

Probably add either Cincy or UConn and add either GTown or SJU

Yes I'm aware of the league getting bloated...but it sure helps fill out the Network.

The B1G drove a phallanx (Bulge) through the ACC and the league needs to regain some relevance in the BOS-WASH

Rutgers and Maryland are going to be nothing more than a place midwestern transplants can tailgate. Adding the CYO is won't happen, their attendance looks like, well, my CYO teams now.

Rutgers will be happy being somebodies bitch. Maryland on the hand sited some quibbling differences with the league power structure in North Carolina and now has thrown in with the Chicago Machine. And their financial problems were of their own making.

Wallach Loh just looked at a line item and changed it to balance a book. The guy is as rooted in Terp life as the man on the moon is.

The Military Network (AFRTS) is not commercialized. I'm not even sure if they pay ESPN, etc...for the broadcast rights for any used content. It is mainly for the military and dependants located overseas.

My preference to get to 16 is to grab either Nova, Georgetown or SJU as #16.

Please no catholic BB schools. I have had enough of them for a lifetime.
