Kennard is unanimous first team and thankfully the coaches got it right and gave POY to Josh Jackson.

Don't get how any coach could leave Jackson off first team.

Lydon wasn't our best player in ACC play. Coaches picked the right SU guy I think he was 2nd team good though.

Tatum 3rd team was all potential outside a few games like the game against SU he wasn't a top 15 player in the ACC.

Ky Bowman's stats got him the 5th Fr spot over Battle. I think Battle is better but he wasn't on till halfway thru conference play.

Wow we only had 1 guy and 1 honorable mention.

Agree with Alsacs about Battle - he turned it on later in conference play

If John Collins played for UNC instead of Wake he'd be unanimous POY. He deserved it.

Pastner went 8-10 and will be in the NIT. That's not COY worthy, should've gone to Brey or Roy Williams

Looks like TV announcers had a lot more respect for Lydon than ACC coaches (10 points?).
Maybe NBA scouts have a similar view.

That's literally 8 more wins than anybody expected coming into the season.
With no major upgrade in talent.

CoY isn't simply 'the coach of the very good team that played up to expectations'.

Remember the days SU would have like 4 guys on the Big East 1st/2nd teams. Seems long ago. Is the ACC so much better or has our talent level fallen down? Reality...8th place teams aren't loaded with all conference talent.

We haven't had our best talents stay in school long enough since we've been in the ACC. Ennis, Malachi, and McCollough I think would've all projected as first team ACC types by the time they were juniors/seniors. Our best recruits talent has been one and done types that aren't anywhere near Carmelo good.

Battle will be a first team player next year.

Those teams had 7 or 8 per team which is 6 to 9 more players

OH MY!!!!

We had no credibility whatsoever. Probably didn't deserve any to be honest. Time to play MAD and get to the final four.

ACC pre-season player of the year pick no where to be found. Not even honorable mention.
Imagine how bad Duke would've been if they got what they expected from Kennard in the preseason instead of the first-team All-ACC performer they actually got

I don't get how Perrantes was 2nd team. He had a rather average year. That's based off reputation.

Yeah, agreed. Other than that I didn't really have an issue with any of the lists. Maybe that ND PG could've been chosen instead of Perrantes.
