Mink, Axe and even Poliquin all picked Clemson as the best chance for SU to upset someone.

To my knowledge, Carlson didn't publish his prediction for the season, but I bet he was not expecting more than 3 wins. He is not the most positive guy on the planet.

Louisville & Clemson looked bumbling or unstructured at times, against each other. But don't be fooled. They each have talented athletes, strong lines, and more speed than we have. We believe we have good young talent -- both of those teams have good young 4-star talent. Louisville is still having try-outs at QB, so I suppose there's that.

I was thinking that to my self last night when people on our board were saying they had changed their minds and now thought we'd beat Louavul. One voice of reason pointed out that 10 Louavul players were drafted, so they were working in replacements. I agree with him and I was also thinking it's one thing for Louavul, and Clemson for that matter, not to look so good when they're playing each other and totally another thing for them to look that bad when it comes time to play us.

We'll know a lot more about Clemson in the next 2 weeks. We think we're protective of our QBs? Watson should play in a suit of armor.

I think FSU, Clemson and Ga. Tech could all be Top 10ish this year with Miami and one or two other schools at the back end of the Top 25.

last night didnt exactly go swimmingly for Clemson either, but i never expected it would, so im giving it a free pass...inconf road win, blind eye.

I may have to eat these words, but, I don't think the ACC is tremendously strong this year. The top end may be more talented, but, I see no reason why we can't compete week in and week out.

It depends on how quickly our young players - especially those on defense and at the QB position - can develop and whether we can stay healthy.

I would not discount Clemson or FSU just yet.

No team should play on Thursday without a bye week the previous Saturday. Clemson on a short week against talented Louisville team was a good bankable win. Teams don't need to win dominantly every game. LSU won at Mississippi State by 2 and people weren't saying more than they won an SEC road game.

Clemson vs. Georgia Tech I believe are playoff contenders. Florida State looks vulnerable.

What a weird spot to be in.

I can envision any game as a W or L, with the exclusion of maybe LSU.

Can't look past anybody - but I'm not sure anyone can look past us either.
