Because they know our coaching holds Syracuse back (we underperformed our talent level the previous two seasons as well, even last season their was enough there for at least a winning record, I’ll give it that probably not enough to be a tourney team). Pretty much all of the preseason chatter was raving about our roster and how they could certainly see Syracuse way outperform these rankings, what Autry can get out of the guys night in and out being the main question. Syracuse can still can be great this season, but the light switch must turn on asap.

Coaching, obviously and historical performance.. UVA and Clemson were in the 40’s for newcomers. Pitt and VT were around 60 something. We were 20.

Enfield isn't the worst coach, but he underperformed at USC, especially when it came to the postseason. Although I do think USC is not a great coaching destination. Their school profile actually hurts them. They get a lot of players as a result of ancillaries (weather, location etc) and it works against them. He was way better at FGCU.
