ACC Games for Dec 3-4

UNC at risk of being blown out similar to us last night, but at home...

Auburn has the most visiting fans I’ve ever seen at Cameron. It gets loud every time they score.

I know everyone wants to point to $$$, but the coaching is much weaker in the ACC compared to the SEC. I can’t stand Pearl and Oats, but they are easily both top 5 coaches right about now. That’s not even accounting for Barnes and Cal.

Not sure if anyone has ever made this comparison but Cooper Flagg reminds me a lot of Grant Hill.

Hubert Davis is making 2.7 mil.

Barnes, Pearl, Cal, Oats range from 5.4 mil to 7 mil. (if you're to believe Google).

But the coaching inbalance is about the money. Not only in salary but NIL money, money for staff, and money for facilities.

#1 Kansas down 10 at the half to Creighton

These results in this acc-sec challenge have clearly shown football is the driving factor for all sports.what a meteoric cratering of a conference.

ACC really needs this Duke win
#18 Pitt losing to Miss St by 22 at halftime. Pitiful for an 18th ranked team. But we know they can't be that good.

I did think they would put up a little more of fight. The ACC is not good.

NC State and Clemson, both teams that made improbable runs last year, looks substantially better than us. Wouldn’t surprise me if we got a win against either, but goodness. So much better to watch.

How does Marq, Xavier and Creighton have better coaches than? Who is the best coach in the ACC? It was Tony Bennett but now Im not sure

We could have hired anyone of those coaches but we didn't interview anyone (maybe not Creighton I thought he turned down some jobs). That is why they have better coaches than us.

I don't even know who would be considered the best coach. Brownell ? He seems to get the most out of his teams lately. I don't know if Scheyer is a good coach or not yet or if he just has the most talent.

Maliq really helped turn the momentum against #2 Auburn doing Maliq stuff. Lots of deflections, 6 boards.
With the KU loss, Tennessee will be the new #1

DUKE 84, AUB 78
ALA 94, UNC 79
FLA 87, UVA 69
MSST 90, PITT 57
TEX 63, NCSU 59
VAN 80, VT 64

McDermott and Shaka are local to there so no.

Miller is only at X because he screwed up at Arizona. Maybe he could’ve been of interest.

That is a pretty good comparison. I was watching him last night and trying to conjure up a similar player. I think Hill had a better handle and Flagg is a better rebounder and shot blocker.

I was thinking new age Elvin Hayes or Dirk or Detlef.

Whatever the comp the kid is unreal for 17.

Hill as a senior at Duke averaged 16.7/6.0/4.1. Flagg is currently averaging 16.6/8.6/4.1.

Very similar size. Both have an explosive first step off the dribble. Neither a high volume scorer but more of a swiss army knife player that leads their team in several major categories.

Grant Hill was chosen 3rd in the draft which should be considered stronger than this years. Amazingly, only one foreign dude (Yinka Dare) was chosen in the first 35 selections. Canadians and Europeans have really stepped up their game. Cuse has definitely dabbled in those markets, maybe Red needs to do a deeper dive.

Flagg will end up averaging more in the association than Hill. I hate him, but he's just scratching the surface. He's going to put up big numbers with the amount of space in today's NBA.
