JG3 said just from a workout/strength and conditioning program it was like something he’s never seen before. And looking at body types from players at both his 2 schools you can see that.

That’s not even saying anything about actual on the court stuff.
I wish JG3 would report his experience to Red. Maybe it’s time to make a change to the strength and conditioning coach. Fresh eyes might be needed.

If we need a very recent former player to report to our Head Coach on how to run a BBall program based on his 1 year after he transferred...we are doomed and the entire coaching staff has gotta go.
An HC at this level or any level, should have a very firm grasp on how to run and build a program. If the HC is lacking in an area, well Assistants should be able to assist.
Something as basic as strength and conditioning should have been one of the main areas to target for improvement long before becoming a head coach.
However, I can sadly report that many of our programs are digging themselves out of decades of neglect in regards to athletes health, strength, conditioning ànd competitive mental stability.
We literally just developed îndividual diet plans. When I played în HS I was counciled on a diet. În D3 football I was also instructed on a diet ànd a daily schedule back in 1996-2000.

Soda was in very recent vending machines inside the AD. Healthy drinks were either ûnavailable or scarce. To me that is astonishing. How can a top college program have such prehistoric ways...Well clearly we have lacked DART.
Almost laughable bc of how pathetic that is.

And Brownell just won 20 games for only the 7th time in 15 years at Clemson. So, as you and others may think, it's not that easy to develop and maintain a winning program.

Trending up compared to us though. They’re 37-17 in the ACC the last 3 seasons.

Yes, and in the prior three seasons his record in the ACC was 27-28. He's had his share of struggles. Only four NCAAT's in 14 seasons. Prior to his very recent success, many Clemson fans wanted him replaced.

So you’re saying… how many more years for Red?

I know they did. That said I am not even sure the school cared all that much about basketball until very recently.

Brownell is a good cöach but he has missed NCAAs 10 out of 14 years. Record right around .500 7 out of 14 or 15 counting this year or whatever
Its definitely not easy to have a consistently great program.

Nova had an 11 point lead on St John's with about 10 minutes left in the 2nd half. Johnies cut it to 1 PT in a little over a minute of game time. FS1 about 7 min left

WF implodes and gives up a 16 point lead and loses to FSU by two. Down one with nine seconds left their stupid point guard pulls up in transition from 25 feet and shoots it with eight seconds left. FSU gets an easy dunk but then fouls WF shooting a half court shot. Hillibrand misses the first, makes the second and misses the third. Forbes had no idea how to finish this game. This loss will put them out of the tournament.
