UCF scored 87 points and neither Benny nor Dior got one. They both had -1 NP. Remember that high school game where Dior supposedly embarrassed JJ?

I think his dry humor is good but he might be better for short segments in studio rather than calling a game.

Probably a good thing for Hubert that they are on the road Saturday at Duke. Hearing boos is one thing but at least it will be from the Crazies. Then the following Saturday, Pitt will be in Chapel Hill. Could be ugly if the entire fan base is against Hubert at that point.

This is Hubert’s 4th year. He’s won 29 games twice (17 and 15 ACc wins those years). He’s lost in the national title game and made it to the sweet 16. His other year was 20 wins and 11-9 in the ACC.


And this year they are currently 6-4 and 1 game back of 3rd place in the ACC. Their out of conference losses are Kansas, Auburn, Michigan State, Alabama and Florida

If that kind of resume gets 4.5 years, Red needs to be on a much shorter leash. We can’t compete with the upper part of the acc this way

Wright, Boeheim, Coach K, Roy all retired recently. All promoted an assistant. Only Scheyer you could argue has been an absolute homerun. Hubert has been inconsistent and then Neptune and Red have been mediocre to bad.

UNC is a Blue Blood. They have won six National Championships and have been in 21 Final Fours.

As Syracuse fans, we were spoiled for a long stretch, but we were never considered a Blue Blood. So, I'm not sure if our expectations for Red's success should be less than Hubert's and he gets more time than Hubert or that he deservedly gets at least a 3rd year and attempts to make the NCAAT.

Hard to think they would fire Davis if they miss the tourney after this year but his time has been inconsistent.

He nearly won a title, it reminds me a bit of Kevin Ollie at Uconn.

Scheyer gets great talent. I’m not sure he’s coaching his team up. He seems to do less with more.
