this is modern day college basketball, 6th year player, 4 schools. If you transfer more than once, you have to sit the year, correct? The no-sit rule only counts 1 time, correct? If not, we will see players play at 4 schools in 4 years all over the place

The transfer rule only went into effect this school year. It gives you one freebie and then you have to sit out unless you graduate and still have eligibility.

I don't know his story so I couldn't tell you how he was able to go from Kansas to DePaul without sitting out unless he graduated from Kansas in the three years he was there. If he did graduate from Kansas, then he gets to go anywhere he wants and play immediately as a graduate student. He gets the extra year to play at Miami because of COVID, like all players who were on rosters last year got. Some chose to stay and play college basketball, some chose to move on and forego the extra year of eligibility.
