ACC Games Week 9

Wake scores to open the 2nd half, 42-21. Petrino looks lost. He's a great coach when he has the lead and can run up scores, but he can't recruit, coach up players, make game adjustments - he's not a good coach.

Seriously, you are correct. He is making good decisions, too, which is sometimes more important than straight up passing skills.

Few observations based on today’s games so far...

UNC is more of a mediocre team and not a bottom feeder, currently giving UVA a game and UVA has been playing well lately. Also should have beat VT two weeks back. That narrow win doesn’t look so bad.

Louisville is a mess and is getting beat up by Wake. We should score 70 on them and I expect that to be a for sure win.

Wake is going to be 4-4 coming off a win and will be desperate next week so that could be a dogfight on the road, just like Pitt was. Let’s get bowl eligible in the comfort of the dome so we don’t have to sweat it out next week.

He played almost the whole first half. Syracuse was up 16-6 when he left.

I think Lawrence is really good but don't fabricate the game against Syracuse.

FSU fumbled a punt and Clemson recovers inside the 10. FSU cannot do anything right. Well, holding Clemson to a FG will have to count as an FSU success today. 38-0

wake has a nice offense but no defense at all. have to limit mistakes so we dont gift them on both sides of the ball.

Taggart looking like he is in over his head. I still think he will be serviceable as FSUHC (with those players I could be a serviceable HC), but he is not adjusting as well as he needs to at higher levels of competition.

They destroyed Wake last week. Then fell apart for 3 quarters today. In Taggart's defense, Dabo Swinney is good at making adjustments during the game, he makes lesser coaches look amateurish. Will need to see what how well FSU recovers.
