Lawyers are working on getting us out of the ACC without the GOR. We are being dragged down by this conference. It's hard carrying the conference on our own. Might have to go to the SEC unless the ACC guarantees us more money.
Let's see--...with Duke (vs Ole Miss), Louisville (vs Washington) and Va Tech (vs Minnesota) still to play theirs. Will any of them join Syracuse as a winner, or will we remain the Conference's only bowl champion?
OOPS. I skipped right over Cal when I was scrolling down the scores. I guess they are not yet in my brain as part of the ACC.Let's see--
BC and Pitt. UNC and NC St. Miami and GTech. SMU and Clemson. And Cal.
That makes nine. 1-9.
Agree. You really need to look at who opted out and can't take each score at face value.I think fans are media are putting too much stock into non-playoff / bowl games.
The portal has ruined them. A lot of teams are playing with backups / young kids. Next year the ACC could go 10-1 and it wouldn’t surprise me.
Can't really look at it that way. Your record is your record. If, the record was 11-1, no one would say hey, it could be 6-6. I will give you an example. People point to our losses to B.C. and Stanford and say, we could have been 11-1. No one includes the two games that we scored td's in the last minute to force OT which we won both games. I haven't heard anyone saying, year we were 9-3 but easily could have been 7-5.Clem/SMU lost to CFP good teams. throw those out
SU wins
Pitt had coach give game away
Cal is Cal
GT had 100+ more yds but 2 turnovers to zero in a game they should win
Miami wins if Ward plays the whole game
UNC.. Ugly
BC-Neb pretty even game
NC st. coaching
Lou. good game Wash was better than their record all year.
ACC turned 6-6 into 1-11.
I have read it several times on this board, usually in response to people saying “…we could be 11-1….”I haven't heard anyone saying, year we were 9-3 but easily could have been 7-5.
I think every time from me.I have read it several times on this board, usually in response to people saying “…we could be 11-1….”
how you win/lose the game and how the game was played are different things. Can't really look at it that way. Your record is your record. The ACC gratefully thanks the state of Washington for helping it avoid a shutout this bowl season.Well the ACC has two wins … Louisville dodged a bullet.
With Duke getting run off the field, the ACC will be 0-12 against the spread this postseason. This is if one uses the closing line at kickoff. Obviously SU backers had two weeks to grab lines that were well below the closing # of 18.
Where have u gone VaTech? ACC nation turns its lonely eyes to you. Getting 8.5 against the gophers tomorrow night.
I would think the books took a beating on our game, what with the huge "middle". I doubt there have been many occasions where the line moved 11 or 12 points. With Duke getting run off the field, the ACC will be 0-12 against the spread this postseason.
