Cooney on Rakeem offensively: "I think Rakeem deserves the ball every time down the floor."

Cooney on ACC: "I still think the power, you have to go through the Duke and North Carolina."

Cooney: "You can still play games when I don't shoot well... But when I'm shooting well I know we're at our best."

Cooney asked about the 30-point loss to Louisville when the teams last met in the Big East tourney: "It was 17. That's a big difference."

Cooney on sophomore class waiting their turn at SU: "It's like that at every great program, except at Kentucky I guess."

Cooney asked about Ennis leaving early: "No knock on that. He's achieving his dream, we would all do the same thing."

Cooney smiled and just asked a reporter, "Other guys say they like playing at Duke." Had a hard time picking a "favorite" road venue.

Cooney laughed about Carleton game. Said it doesn't feel like a scrimmage, "those guys are really good."

John Swofford says he doesn't think there were red-flags in UNC's recent report into academic scandal. Swofford is former AD at UNC.

John Swofford: While he was at UNC, "it was never an issue at all.''

John Swofford, in his time at UNC, moved academic services for athletes out of the athletic department and into Arts and Sciences.

John Swofford: Separation was philosophically healthy.

John Swofford: ACC will have rep at SU's hearing with NCAA.

Anytime one of our schools has a compliance issue, it's a concern.'' Swofford.

John Swofford: "You want to see as few of those as possible.''

John Swofford says ACC's image isn't being eroded. He acknowledges the recent issues.

Swofford: "When you have these issues, you need to identify them, correct them and move on.''

John Swofford: "You usually want to win these things. This is one we want to lose. We want to have the least number of compliance issues.''

@TCooney10 A2: I don't own that many compared to Rakeem. The Jordan 5s are my favorite, though

Q4: Five seconds left, game's tied, who takes the game winning shot?

@TCooney10 A4: We have a lot of options, but I think either myself or Rakeem are good options.

Q5: What are your pregame rituals?

@TCooney10 A5: I have a shooting routine that I do before every game. I started it right when I got to college.

Q6: What's your go to song before a game?

@TCooney10 A6: It changes every year. I just put it on shuffle and let it go. Got some Jay-Z and others.

Q7: What's your favorite arena to play in besides your own?

@TCooney10 A7: It's always fun to play at Pitt. I'm excited to play in the Dean Dome this year. Duke is always crazy.

Q8: What ACC matchup are you most excited for this season?

ESPNU will televise The Experts: Coaching Legends on Thursday, Oct. 30, at 7:30 p.m. ET featuring Syracuse’s Jim Boeheim, Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski, Louisville’s Rick Pitino and North Carolina’s Roy Williams. Hosted by ESPN college basketball analyst Jay Bilas, the four Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame coaches will participate in candid discussion about college basketball in a half-hour special.
