ACC Nightmare scenario?

There really is no perfect way. In a large conference without divisions records wouldn't necessarily reflect the two best teams because of unbalanced schedules. At least with divisions everyone within the division can play everyone else. I wish we could just go back to 8-9 team conferences. It's be better for both football and basketball.

Agree but at least you'd have a better shot to get the true 2 best.

10 is perfect. 9 conference games and 3 OOC with a real playoff for the national championship.

GT beating anyone is far from certain this year, they are all over the map in terms of defense. The multiple offense always gives teams fits, though.

seems what it indicates is somehow the ACC thought FSU and Miami were going to upgrade its Football...NOT...and now 'Cuse and Pitt on way to upgrade its not so bad bball...hope there isnt a similar result...but hey, its a better academic conference...do we score points for business, journalism, law, ......?

"Not" jokes aside (one of my favorite scenes in Borat), you don't think FSU upgraded ACC football? Like, ever?

he just wants SU to drop football, and continue to play hoop in the old amtrak bigeast.

I thought it proved how BC went to 2,that's 2!!!! ACC Champ games, while SU can't get out of its own way.

True. That is pretty remarkable. Although BC appears firmly entrenched in a "can't get out of it's own way" period itself these days.

Of course not...but how many BCS games has FSU or Miami won in past 10 years...and lost. This was tongue in cheek just so you know.

Well, Miami very much hasn't been what the ACC expected. Don't think anyone, anywhere, including those at Miami or the ACC office would deny that obvious one.

But FSU made the ACC a football conference. Unfortunately the transition from long time coach to new coach wasn't smooth in terms of timing. Brought that program back to earth, because they were playing on another level altogether for so long. Looks like this is the year they make it all the way back. FSU-Florida game will have more meaning than it has in a long time. That NC State loss will haunt them, but a 1 loss BCS team is more what they are used to.

Now watch them lose tonight to the aholes.

ACC (football) sucks, syracuse will find that life in the ACC sucks and wish they would have found a way to make the BE work. Should have learned by watching BC.

Thanks for playing, but the BE was never going to work, long term. If we hadn't left, others would have. So glad to be playing FSU, UM, GT, etc. instead of Boise, SDSU, SMU, UCF, etc. Ready for your beatdown? :D

What you learn from watching BC is how not to make a coaching hire. Hopefully we've already learned from our dud. Now they are learning again (first time was Henning after TOB left).

Their coaching hire aside, BC fans are much happier where they are. And they'll be happier than SU and Pitt are joining them. Drown out the rest of the northeast.

Some broken things cannot be fixed. The BE is a perfect example.

I agree with you in part, I always hoped against hope we could have had the 90s BE add Penn State and maybe MD. But it was never going to happen. SU had to go this time
