The ACC has been really bad at basketball the last few years. Historically bad for one of the best long term conferences.

The light at the end of the tunnel is that 8 of the 25 best overall recruiting classes (combining transfers and high school recruits) are for ACC teams. Syracuse isn’t the only program to dramatically improve its talent level.

The ACC leads all conferences in the 247 rankings shown below.

Obviously, the accuracy of these rankings can be called into question… But the massive improvement of talent into the conference, on paper, can only be seen as a plus.

If we win, we want the wins to mean something… If we lose, the losses don’t hurt quite as much when it’s to a very good team. Hopefully, the ACC returns to where it belongs next season, as one of the best, if not the best, college basketball conferences.
