I guess it's probably too much to ask for Coach to say, I am happy at Syracuse and we are building something special here. I don't think that necessarily would back him into a corner, and would probably help any recruiting concerns that might arise as his name continues to float around. Should he beat FSU this weekend, even given their tough year, I would bet more UF fans take notice.

agree. For the record, I am not especially concerned at this time either. I do believe he took the same approach when he was asked these questions at BG his final year. I'll be much more concerned should no extension happen after or before next year. His name is floated around by blind squirrels who hope to find a nut. I'm not worried one bit.
do the other coaches get asked these sorts of questions or is that only a syracuse thing?
same with the coaching rumors? fuentes, doeren, petrino,?
Interesting comment from Dino on the new early signing period:
"With the new rules if you sign someone that does not qualify, you're not allowed to get that scholarship back."
Is that true? Doesn't seem right...Interesting comment from Dino on the new early signing period:

It doesn't sound right to me either. If a kid signs an LOI in Feb. and then doesn't qualify the scholarship is still available.

I guess?

Too me this is like Jim Brown getting up slowly after every play. Most of the time he was fine. On the occasion he was dinged up, the defense wouldn't know any better because it all looked the same. I assume DB is staying, but if he does leave someday, he won't let on, and it won't sound any different than now.I guess it's probably too much to ask for Coach to say, I am happy at Syracuse and we are building something special here.
