no tv tomorrow it will happen several times it suckx

I thought this deal ensured we would be on MORE not less? What gives?

I don't think anyone said we'd be on more. I kinda suspected this, particularly living in Connectucut. I'd be better off being a Georgia fan here. If the game is on the ACC Network, I'm out of luck. A friend who lives in south central New Jersey doesn't get a lot of the games as well. Once we left the Big East, Rutgers, UConn and SNY, it was just about certain that many of us would be left in the dark. The ESPN3 only games is ESPN's way of promoting that channel. There will be more. So I've decided to invest in an AppleTV. It allows you to watch any game on E3 on your regular TV. Only $100. I'm watching the replay of the SU- Maryland game now on the AppleTV.

My sentiments exactly. I was also afraid of this as I was able to watch most of the games broadcast on the Big East Network the past couple of years. Unfortunately ESPN3 is not available to me here in Ontario. I signed up for Orange All Access which may also turn out to be a disappointment since they didn't broadcast the Cornell game.

If the game is on the ACC network, and its not on your local affiliate, its available on the ACC Digital network which you can watch on your laptop, iPad, AppleTV at theacc.com (or the ACC iPad app).

I'm talking in terms of regular TV. I'd watch it on my PC if I had to, and I've done it many times. I know guy in his 80s who doesn't own a computer. I know someone else who simply refuses to watch a game on a computer. The AppleTV is a great investment.

Well I think your first sentence is the issue. There is no such thing as "regular" TV anymore. If people want to watch games, they can. Its 2013, so 99% of people have AppleTV, iPad, laptop, etc. For the 80 year old, somebody get the guy AppleTV for Christmas. Its 99 bucks (plus the HDMI cable).

So in other words the ACC TV package sucks, i for one hate watching games on laptop often get streaming and other problems

Every year a couple of these bullspit games aren't on the flat screen. I hope this is 1 of the 2 or 3...and not the 1st of 10.

I think diehard fans will go make the extra effort to watch a game on their laptop, tablet or AppleTV if they have one. Most people I know don't have an AppleTV. Therefore, the casual fan, or just a college fan, will never see many of these games that used to be shown on well known mainstream stations.

I know an SU student, a big fan, who missed the first quarter of the Maryland game because he didn't know it was on MSG plus. When you switch channels every week, that's going to happen.

There will be at least 4 in your area.

Fordham, St. Francis, Binghamton and High Point.

There will be at least 8 in my area.

Would be nice for st francis to be added to MSG, they're showing nothing.

Sorry but fwiw, no excuse to not know the game is on 1 of the MSGs because all he did is check sny. It was listed in every paper and...just use the search!!

I could handle 4, that seems about right.

Not 8.

4 espn 3 games isn't that bad as in bigeast it was usually a few more but time warner was able to broadcast them locally. and during conference play were are on espn family or cbs for all but 6. I think Syracuse has some say in the espn 3 games as there are all likely to be low attendance so they want people to go to the game. 1 main positive of the ACC is the lack of noon starts in basketball

Its hard to classify someone as a "big fan" if they can't take the 2 minute trip to the affiliate list on theacc.com or do a search on one's cable system for keyword "Syracuse". Really don't understand all of the B&M'ing about this.

Maryland game on Saturday was on actual msg on Saturday as it didn't come on until about 340 as sec game ran long

or checking the local paper where it lists tv

BTW, don't try to watch the replay of the Maryland game on E3. They had tech problems and most of the second half is just the audio feed.

Looks like 4 pre-conference cupcake games are on ESPN3 only (Fordham, St. Francis, Binghampton, High Point). That's annoying but all the other pre-conference and ACC games are on TV via ESPN, CBS, YES, or MSG. It's a small price to pay for not being stuck in the dumpster fire AAC.

Season 1.

With old tv contracts too I believe.

This big fan college student doesn't know how to use Google search? That's how I find out what channel SU games are on.
I remember when only a handful of games were on tv, so I don't get too worked up over having to watch SU-Fordham on a computer, especially if it means we're not in the AAC.

BTW, for those who have "Google TV"; i.e. a smart TV with android based apps, you don't need to shell out the money for Apple TV if your goal is to view on the TV set. There is a free app called Play On which will enable this.
