The Orange women, led by coach Felisha Legette-Jack, begin the festivities on Monday, Oct. 6. Legette-Jack will bring Sophie Burrows, the junior sharpshooter and only returning SU starter from 2024-25. Burrows shot a team-best 39.6% from the 3-point line last season on 164 attempts and averaged 12.2 points per game.

Laila Phelia, the former Michigan and Texas point guard, transferred to SU last spring after an eye injury limited her to eight games in her one season with the Longhorns. She led Michigan in scoring in 2023-24 at nearly 17 points per game.
