I have a hard time believing that the big 12 has a tier 1 National Championship contenders: Kansas State, Iowa State, and even Texas Tech for that matter. Kansas was before the injuries but they're not even tier 1 anymore

I would sign up for that. I think I'd much rather stay in that 5 slot than move into the top 4 and get the double bye as strange as that sounds. Playing in the second round gives us a game we should win and a quarter final game we could reasonably win without it having to be an upset.

The way we've played this year I don't trust us to win that 4 v 5 game especially given our history in the ACCT. I'd rather that not be the first and only game.

But if we're the 4 seed in the ACCT, we're already in the NCAAT. As a 4 seed, sights should be on possibly winning the tourney. The double bye increases the chances of winning the ACCT.

I don't belive that is realistic for this team. Would love for it to happen, but I just don't see us winning three games where it would include beating two of three of Duke, UNC or UVA in a tournament where we've only ever won one game.

If we get two more wins in the regular season, I think we're in the NCAAT regardless of what happens in the ACCT, but I would prefer us line up the best opportunity to go at least 1-1 and reduce the possibility of another 0-1.

I agree, I don't think it's realistic for SU to be the 4 seed. I think it will be tough to hold on to the 5 spot.

However, I was just disagreeing with your comment about rather being the 5 seed vs the 4 seed. I think both the 4 and 5 seeds will be in the NCAAT. I would rather increase the chances/odds of being able to win the whole ACCT than increase the chances of getting a lower level additional win. We've won games in the ACCT, we haven't won the ACCT yet.

Man Pitt has absolutely fallen apart. On January 14th they were 12-5 (2-2) and had wins against Louisville and FSU. They looked like they could make a run at being a bubble team. Now they're 12-15 (2-12).

Only reason I would feel bad about their record is if one of those two ACC victories were against us. They're not so I emphatically say "HAHAHA" to them!

4 seed means we could also only have to beat 1 of the top 3 and play only 3 games. i dont see us beating 2 of them in 2 days, but i can easily see us losing to any of the bottom 7-8 so why play one of them if we dont have too. if we are a 4-5 seed beating the lower teams does nothing more for NCAA seeding, but losing could hurt us.
