Russel Martin rejected a three year 24 million dollar contract offer from the Yank,betting that he can do better. Lucky break for the Yankees. They have a ton of catchers doing well in the farm system and Romine is scheduled to return shortly from the DL. Russell will need to go on one heck of a second half hitting surge to get that offer on the table again.
