When I was 14, I may or may not have stolen a stop sign.  I wasn’t aware it was a felony at the time of the alleged incident, but learned quite quickly it was a serious offense.  Now I’m 41 and realize how dumb that was and that it could have led to trauma for an unsuspecting family.  Not being caught or charged for this alleged incident doesn’t absolve me.  Should I wear that alleged stop sign around my neck for life?
