Concerning coaching at Syracuse. I think our best chance for a good coach is to identify a young talented up and comer who views this as an opportunity of a lifetime. There are young talented coaches out there. You just have to find them…and then support them with the resources and time to be successful. Well known, big time experienced coaches are not coming to the Cuse for what we want to pay. This re-cycling of the same old coaches…moving from job to job needs to stop. Who is the next Chip Kelly? He is out there….who says we can't find him?

Edsall was the first choice. Bill Hurley was the go between. 8 years/$17M was negotiated. Edsall backed out.

Negotiations fell through with Holtz. I don't know why you think the AD has less say than a search committee.

He also reached out to Gill and Buffalo gave us permission to talk to him AND he reached out to Gilbride who declined an interview.
