Syracuse University receiver Adrian Flemming sustained a lower body injury which will require surgery. As a result of the surgery and rehabilitation process, Hill will not return for the 2013 season.
He's got a redshirt year available if he wishes to come back in 2014.
That's what I was thinking too. He's got a redshirt year available if he wishes to come back in 2014.
He played as a true frosh in 2010.
I think that's just poor editing. On the Twitter feed the specifically say Flemming, and also say it was sustained against PSU. Gotta be Flemming. Here's an excerpt from the article:
I'm hoping this is in regards to Macauley Hill, not Flemming.
Seriously, could he go the Dan Conley route and get a medical redshirt?
And the DO and PS just tweeted this as well.
You'd hope given that it was after the first game that he'd be a good candidate.I think he has the ability to apply but its far from a slam dunk.
I dont think he can use it as he has played/logged minutes in 4 years, once you play a down I believe that counts, its not like basketball.
He only played one game this year can he petition for a 5th next year because of the injury?
No kidding. They literally posted the story yesterday and suddenly he's injured for the year. How's that for timing?I blame Cohen for writing this article the other day:

If you're injured during the 1st 3 games, and you have a RS year available, you get a do over. See Lavar Lobdell and Taj Smith.
Actually, it's the first 1/4 of the season.
The worst part about this is that he's a great, great kid. Future coach-type kid.
All the best Flems.
