Supposedly 40 NFL scouts and officials were at the FSU-UL game.

And they were just looking at FSU's true freshmen.

Especially since we wanted to make friends with the cool kids (FSU, Clemson, etc.).

Absolutely...The ACC needed and needs football to be taken seriously.

As to why Syracuse and other ACC teams favored Louisville to replace Maryland. The ACC needed a football team and Louisivlle was on the upswing. UConn fans act like we owed them support, but Gross was smart and sided with FSU/Clemson in wanting the Cards. Regardless of the final outcome Louisville is showing they will be good post-Strong.

Stuff like this is very helpful for the ACC as well.
