Not serious but at least its nota Yankee issue while looking for a complete starting rotation. Hughes will no doubt be the 5th man in Banuelos or Betances go to AAA for most of the season . At least until after the all-star break. If they are showing well maybe they get the call to rest the staff a bit. 'm hoping the whole team starts hot and begins to pull away early. Tex is due as is ARod.;)

Not serious?

He's sidelined for 8-12 weeks following surgery. Pirates general manager Neal Huntington said he's not expecting Burnett back until mid-June, which would be even longer than 12 weeks.

I feel bad for him. :(

I wonder how that injury happened? Everything that seems to go wrong with this guy seems to be self induced mentally. He needs help. Maybe here in the big city the pressure was too much. He would have been the first or certainly the last to fade in NYC.

Batting practice (the perils of being on an NL team).

He popped up a bunt right into his face.

Not the same as getting hit with a pie.

I guess he induced the ball to hit him in the face.

Give it a rest, Cali, and wish the guy well. He did the best he could in NY and never mailed it in, and he did contribute during the 2009 World Series run. His main sin was that he was paid ace/#2 money and didn't pitch to that level.

Reason #12467 why there should be a DH in both leagues. Ridiculous that pitchers hit.
