So the 5'10" 175lb QB that was so gung ho about SU that he tattooed his arm is now disgruntled because SU is looking out for his well being, would have honored his scholarship until he got his degree from SU, he chooses to leave and go to another school, now he and his parents are bashing the coaches they once adored.

I think instead of DQ'ing the kids and not giving them the option of playing again, they should be given the option of signing a waiver to be able to play and not hold the university responsible in any way shape or form. Based on a twitter response or 2, I think some folks believe that SU is using "concussions" and the protocol to get rid of kids they don't think can play.

I don't dislike that idea but I feel like that may open the door for people to begin claiming that the kid is under pressure to sign the waiver by coaches, peers, parents, etc. It wouldn't be long until it went the other way again; "Why is the staff allowing the kid to play if they want despite professional examination and diagnosis?" Can't please everybody is I guess what I'm getting at.
