Albany

Bump. Sorry CuseFaninVT, not this time.

They clinched home court throughout. Danes are 20-8, 14-1 in conference with one last reg season against UVM.
Question: Is it any bit remotely possible that if they win their last game and make their tourney final but lose that they could get an at large?
I mean, they have 20 wins, but stranger things have happened to some team we are all fans of.

And to be completely fair, Vermont is 12-3 in conference and is also having a fantastic year.

RPI is 117, don't think they can get an at large but they really so have an advantage with home court throughout the tourney.

On U. They are close to clinching their regular season which would give them home court throughout their conference tournament. Also got that kid back from Australia, guard.
You just wonder how long Will Brown is going to stay at Albany. If they get to the big dance again this year you would think he would entertain offers. He almost has to. He has been that for 14 seasons. You just wonder why he hasn't left yet. I read this morning that this was the fourth time that Brown has won 20 games in a season. You would think it would have been more than that but it shows how hard it is.

Yeah, that loss UVM had to Binghamton was a killer. Made the game on Saturday against Albany meaningless.

Trying to find a video of the dunk Zach McRoberts (younger brother of Josh) had last night. It was a put back that should have been waived off because he grabbed the rim with his left hand before even grabbing the ball and stuffing it through. One of the assistant coaches for UNH got t-eed up because of that. I saw it plain as day but not many others could figure out why the big hub bub.

He's in a great situation where he can stay until he retires if he wants, IIRC his wife is from Albany area and likes living there, and the next step from a low-major like Albany is likely a mid-major where you're gambling you'll be able to win and move on again quickly because winning at that level consistently is almost impossible. At this point I think he will probably stay at UAlbany unless they pull an upset in the tourney and he can pull an Andy Enfield and jump right to a team in a power conference. Although if he does go, I'll root for him to do well wherever he ends up.

Both Albany and UVM made their semis (slated for Sunday)...can you say collision course? :)

Trying to figure out if the boy and I will go to the game on Sunday or hit the mountain.

Did you see the photo from the game I posted? I'll share it again... My son is in the upper corner to the right of the ball.

Nice photo, brother! And yeah, can't miss kinda day. Riding or bball. Can't we have both? :)

As SU fans I guess maybe we're a bit spoiled with our tournaments(this year aside). It looks like the Great Danes have to wait until Sunday after winning their first round game on Wednesday. I can't imagine having to wait that long between rounds in the BET, or whatever conference we're in now. ;)

Danes play on ESPN3 on sunday at 2pm, if anyone cares to watch! Tee, at least we've still got someone left after tomorrow. I remember the time Albany was threatening fairly late to be the 1st 16 seed to win(vs UConn).

And UVM plays on Sunday at 1pm. If you get there early you can go to fan fest and get free pizza and sodas.

That was a great game, brother. It felt halfway through the 2nd half, that the Danes would win it. Even more reason to fffff UConn!

Albany is down by 3 at the half and in the other semi, UVM is down 6 halfway through the 2nd half.

Vermont lost, Albany still in a battle. Hey CuseFaninVT I hope you had a great birthday whether you went skiing or saw the UVM game. Happy birthday to igor and others too.

What a game. Great passing by Albany, some key shots down the stretch to keep New Hampshire in it...1 point lead for Albany with about 1 minute to play.
