of McNabb. You can see the Deleone flow.

QB scramble late. Redzone throwback.

BTW, BC is a very good team.

45th on offense, 8th on defense. 11th in the country in combined ranking.

They are no fluke.

I'll disagree with this a bit. He has them playing hard, but they didn't exactly light it up today. They had a whopping 260 yards of offense. Murphy twas 8/19 for 108 and ran for 55. Terrell Hunt would get blitzed by this board for those numbers, yet we have some folks here saying Murphy is an NFL player. He could hold McNabb's jock on his best day.

Made a couple unbelievable throws. One while being chanced by 4 linemen on the run on third and ten. Made a mcnabb to brominski-esqe throw for one of his TD passes. And the 43 yard run was fantastic. Clemson was loading the box to focus on stopping BCs run game (318 per game, 4th in FBS) and BC doesn't really have any good WRs who can create separation. The drop by BCs QB-turned-WR was Ben Lewis level bad. Really worth watching the highlights of the game.

If our QB put up those numbers tonight this board would have gone nuts.

13 pts deleone deleone deleone

For the most part unless u cream of crop in football Cfb is a different animal every single week. Who knows whose going to play well and who isn't... Murphy could suck vs us in late nov who knows in the end... College athletics r a roller coaster

The difficulty of a rebuild is overrated.

BC didn't need a rebuild, they needed to get their coaching staff in order. They were #2 in the BCS in 2007, played in two straight ACC title games in 07 and 08, and went to 12 straight bowl games until 2011.

There is no way that BC was close to being a "rebuild".

I didn't imply he was as good as McNabb, but that is the style of ball they were playing. McNabb would have either hit that 4th down pass or taken off on the QB draw.

Clemson is #6 in defense, so it's not a huge surprise that they struggled on offense.

remember when Colorado State beat BC in Chestnut Hill?

Colorado State is 6-1.

wait...I'm confused. Are there people here, or anywhere for that matter, that genuinely think BC is good? Like one of the top 25-30 teams in the country? If so, that's just...stunning.

BC isn't great, but they're pretty good and and they're developing Addazio's hardnosed approach.

They've been highly competitive in their last 3 games with FSU and Clemson.

they are an average to below average team in a top heavy, somewhat middling conference. Pointing out that they only lose by 2 touchdowns instead of 4 when they play the best teams in the conference isn't exactly a strong argument in their favor.

Relative to the current state of Syracuse football, that might seem mildly impressive. Relative to college football, they are a low talent, scrappy, ok at best, team.

Doesn't say much for USC.

And what is taking us so long?

Too many fans who are happy with 6-6 and it's leaked into the AD.

that was some horrible play calling at the end for BC. 1st down from the 30 go ahead take a shot, the kid should have caught it for a TD. After that 2nd and 10 from the opponent's 30 with 1:00 left and 2 timeouts they take 3 more endzone shots. With the time and TO's they had the entire middle open to them.

You've clearly never watched the guy play then. That's not his game.

Borderline top-25, and I believe they put up more points on Florida State than anyone else last year. But hey, who cares, let's lose to FSU 59-3, it's the exact same thing! Y'know what, let's just save the airplane trip to FSU next year, and just forfeit!!!!

So is Villanova.

And we won that game (somehow).
Not sure if you're joking, but Colorado State is a D1 team… there's really no comparison to Villanova.

Ha, Murphy had 11 carries for 4 yards going into his very last drive. He had that long run of like 40 yards and then another 10 yard run on the next play which have him his 56 rushing yards or somethjng. So basically going into the final drive he threw for 100 and ran for 4 yards. In 56 minutes of action.

Are you a BC fan?

You're kidding right? Top teams in FCS are better than the backend if the FBS.

Adazio is a heck of a coach IMO. BC will likely not recruit well enough to be a consistent top 25 team, but they'll be a team capable of beating anyone on a given day.

Kind of hope Florida looks that way to help their program...
