All things considered, best road win since:

I think you could argue it - but I think how you look at it likely matters. The atmosphere, excitement, and the basketball itself wasn't there. If that matters, likely not going to make it very high.

If you're going by where we were positioned heading in, their huge home winning streak, coming back on the road, etc...it's a good argument.

Either way, great win.

Colgate breaks our streak we break FSU’S streak, things usually come in three’s what’s next?

We shoot lights out and pin a century on Gtown?

At least that is my vote...

Not like the old days but humiliating the Hoyas is always special.

Winning at a Louisville in the late 70’s was a monumental win. I think Kevin James was on that team with Louis and Bouie. Winning at New Mexico at the “Pit” was also a huge win. JB has had some huge road wins over the years.

Probably. We won at UVA 2 years ago too. I realize that wasn’t a vintage UVA team, but they were still 23-7.

Yeah - I'm going to have to go with best win since Virginia.
That Virginia team was a 7 seed. I'm not confident that FSU will end up that level.

EDIT - Initially I went with Virginia as per above, but that game didn't really end up meaning anything as we were almost certainly not making the tournament in 2020 unless we made the ACC final or won it.

So since this game at FSU might be a Q1 win in a tournament season I will take it.

I'm changing my answer to Miami in February 2018. A very underrated win in our "bubble" era.
Miami ended up as a 6 seed, and without that win we do not get in the NCAA tournament,

Looking at this closer we had a few big road wins in February 2018 that carried us into the tournament. Miami and Louisville.

This was the first road win when trailing by double digits in the second half since at Gtown in 2017-2018. First ACC road win trailing by double digits in the second half since 2016-17.

As others have said this team has many similarities to that 16-17 team. Right now it also has a better start to the season getting some valuable wins earlier on. Had that team done the same/avoided the bad losses hard to say how things play out.

I don't know. I still feel like we beat a pretty bad team yesterday and if they were even half-way decent from 3, we would be talking more about whether we can keep our winning streak going. I don't mean to piss in anyone's cereal, but FSU shot 13% from beyond the arc (4 out of 30 attempts). That's pretty incredible. That's why it's hard for me to say yesterday's game was one of the best or even comes close to beating Dook on the road.

And we got 6 points from our best offensive player.

That's still rather shocking - it seemed like to have a chance in the second half we would need more out of Buddy. But nope.

But Syracuse had a similarly horrible shooting performance about halfway in.

I'm not sure if that is a positive or negative. I had started to think Buddy was turning into a "he'll get his points" guys that you can't truly stop... Yesterday proved that isn't the case. On the other hand, we won an ACC road game in what may be Buddy's worst scoring game of the year.

Very true. Don't get me wrong, I'd absolutely rather be in our position than FSUs. However, yesterday looked like two very mediocre teams.

Yeah, and maybe worse than mediocre. I admit i get confused over assessing team performance when things get that far out of whack. You almost hope everyone got a hold of some bad cold cuts at the lunch table that day, to explain it all away.

Also beating #1 Louisville in 2013 at the Yum with MCW and Triche leading the way. That showed us how good that team could be. They struggled a bit late in the season and those two Gtown losses were atrocious, but we eventually got going, made the Big East tourney title game, and went onto the Final Four (for what should-have-been another rematch with the Ville in the title game). Those terrible refs in the Michigan game. Argh.
